 Bob Sachs would want us to remember these things. Do not forget the important role we play in our society.

Fraternals inspire. We have more than 9.3 million fraternalists in 37,000 local chapters; members of the National Fraternal Congress of America comprise one of the largest member-volunteer networks anywhere.

Fraternal benefit societies play a vital role in our communities. Every day, our volunteers supplement the social services provided by overburdened government agencies, serving children, the elderly, veterans, the under-privileged and others who need help.

In the past year alone, we have invested 94 million hours in community works and contributed $424 million to charitable programs that support community service projects.

Fraternals touch those less fortunate. Fraternals support a variety of charitable activities. Fraternals unite. Fraternals span a variety of cultures. Quality of life with benefits and financial products.

We share a common passion for community service, the bonds of patriotism and religious values. We play form and live better.

We have six gold and one silver medals to show that we have achieved in all that we have committed ourselves to do.

Let us not forget that we are a very important aspect in the lives of so many.

Thank you Bob for being our mentor for the past 30 years. Your efforts will never be forgotten.
